Two neighbors hired our team to renovate their adjoining front yards into an attractive, continuous garden. Removing the lawns was a priority, due to the ongoing severe California drought. Low water-use flowering plants replaced the old lawn, and large rocks were used to evoke a natural setting. Flagstone paths create flow and link the yards, inviting visitors to stroll through the garden. A wooden arbor shelters a sliding love-seat and adds charm.
A dry well was placed in the center of the former lawn to capture rainwater from the roof gutters and percolate it into the ground, instead of draining into the street. (The dry well is not visible, as it is planted.)
